Gurukul Magic School is for those who have a deep interest in learning magic in its truest form. It was established in 2000 by none other than Jadu Samrat Vikram who happens to be a renowned and award winning illusionist from Assam. He is the founder principal of the academy. Located at Panjabari which is an important cultural hub of Guwahati and housed within the serene and pleasant campus of Shilpigram, Gurukul Magic Academy & Research Centre is surrounded by other important cultural centres like Srimanta Sankardev Kalashetra, North East zonal cultural centre, State Music College and Assam Film Finance & Development Corporation Ltd etc.
What We Do
Gurukul Magic Academy & Research Centre offers various training courses in the art of magic. We understand that practical training under the supervision of a good magician is a must to become a good performer and an entertainer. Here at GMARC young aspirants gets training in magic personally from our talented and experienced faculties who are well versed in the art of magic. The training programmes which are at par with international standards have been suitably designed by Jadu Samrat Vikram, our founder principal who is a magician of considerable repute. These programmes help students to hone their magic skills and abilities. It is worth viewing a young aspirant perform magic accurately by following the music tune played in the background.

Save Magic Project
We launched this project with the twin objective of restoring the magic art form of Assam to its earlier glory and also to spread awareness about the ‘Science behind Magic’. As a part of this project we provided free training/scholarships to over 200 students to enable them to turn into budding magicians. Another notable highlight of this project was the launching of a first-of-its-kind V.C.D named ‘Vikram’s Choo-Mantar’ that focused on creating mass awareness about magic. It was launched on ‘Magic Day’ (Axom) ie10th August 2010 by eminent intellectual Dr. Hiren Gohain in the presence of many dignitaries. A lot of well know personalities from different fields of the state played important roles in this video.
